State Farm® Insurance Agent A Christina Breen-Hale

"I've been with state farm for 25 years. We have auto, life, and home owners. The auto side was very efficient and I out lived my life policy. This is about the home owner policy. Never a problem until we had a small pipe leak behind the drywall in our kitchen. No obvious leaking until a drop in the basement. Immediately we called state farm. The office said they only do sales now and couldn't help with a claim. They did "warn" me that a rejected claim could effect my rates! I've been with the company for 25 years. I put in claim and got plumber/restoration company. They came Immediately. Plumber said you would never know until it drips in basement and it was recent. Restoration company agreed. When state farm representative came. Within 10 minutes she denied the claim saying it was a long term leak and state farm won't cover it. I asked her how much sooner could I have found it ? She just answered it not her problem... denied. Restoration was going to cost more than $6000 + repair of cabinets from someone else. I'm retired and limited cash flow. I expected better from a company I paid monthly for 25 years. My restoration company told me that state farm is the worst insurance company for homeowners claims. He was ABSOLUTELY correct!"

"They never answer their phones anymore. It rings and then goes to a voicemail saying " Hi friends, please leave us a message and we will get back to you." How is this good business? I call when I actually have time to talk to an agent. I don't want to wait for a call back at their leisure that might come in while I'm working and cannot answer the phone. This has happened the last 4 times I have tried to call this agency. What if it were an emergency and I needed an insurance agent assistance? Definitely not living up to their state farms commercials where they say "we're here when you need us!" If they don't start answering phones soon I will be looking for an agency that will answer their phones."
